Chronic Stress & Burnout, CFS, Fibromyalgia

A significant percentage of Dr Grodski’s practice is focused on complex chronic disease – including, Chronic Fatigue, and Fibromyalgia. These conditions respond best to an integrative approach that combines the best of conventional medicine as well as that of naturopathic and Chinese medicine.

Dr. Tom Grodski’s approach is individualized, meaning that while the many varied approaches to these conditions are discussed with individual patients, their needs and abilities are taken into consideration when tailoring their particular treatment regimen. Approaches are holistic, as found in that of Dr Tietelbaum, Dr Bested, and Dr. Myhill’s approaches, and include conventional, hormonal, Naturopathic, Chinese therapeutic approaches, along with LDI Therapy (Low Dose Immunotherapy), depending on the individualized circumstances and etiology.

Chronic Stress & Burnout are becoming more and more frequent commonalities across the ages and personal circumstances – from post secondary education, through college and university students to new jobs and old, 1st time parents and those with multiple kids, jobs and a armful of responsibilities. Coping strategies vary from functional and practical to dysfunctional (e.g. adrenal fatigue) and detrimental (e.g. addiction).

Our starting point is to simply listen, and to see how far beyond one’s skill set and abilities one has been pushed physically and emotionally, to understand what steps will be required for recuperation, or restoring one’s reserves (thyroid, adrenals, sleep) and re-orienting one’s abilities and energies in a more functional, sustainable manner. This often takes the form of lifestyle counseling, dietary and supplemental recommendations, exercise suggestions and potentially more involved therapies to restore homeostasis and health.

The end goal is to re-pattern one’s approach to life’s demands in such a way that one’s skills and abilities are better matched and don’t lead to depletion, stress and burnout. That fine balance is commonly referred to as flow, and that is our therapeutic goal for each and every patient. To help identify their source and ability to enter into flow, remove obstacles and redirect their efforts more efficiently with that goal.

Post Viral Syndrome

Following certain viral infections, some individuals are left with an overly activated innate immune system, and as a result, can be left with a cytokine fueled chronic inflammatory condition. Managing and mitigating the inflammation is often approached via individualized anti-oxidant support, in both oral and intravenous forms of therapy, along with other anti-inflammatory guidelines.

EDS: Ehler Danlos Syndrome

Dr. Grodski follows the therapeutic approach & regimen set forth by Dr. Forrest Tennant with his EDS patients, in combination with regenerative joint therapies (prolotherapy, ozone, PRP) as needed.
